Supply Chain challenge at B&C Retail

Our Business Unit Retail, which markets and sells made-to-measure window styling solutions within the Benelux and Scandinavia, is looking for a Supply Chain Manager.

The Business Unit Retail makes use of the production- and logistics facilities of the Business Unit B&C Operations, but also sources materials and products from other suppliers. The Supply Chain Manager develops and implements an integrated supply chain in order to realize continuous performance improvement with regard to supply chain management and optimise quality, cost leadership and customer satisfaction.

You will work closely together with Category Management, Production and Sales. You take care of implementation of the supply chain strategy and are responsible for the daily supply chain operation. You will develop a strong professional relation with external service providers and suppliers. You report to the MD of the BU B&C Retail and you are part of the management team of B&C Retail. We have an ambitious growth plan for the coming years where outperforming on quality, service, speed and costs will be crucial to remain competitive.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who will join us to achieve our growth plan through professionalism, team spirit, entrepreneurship and strong communication skills. Are you ready to take up this challenge?

What you do?

  • Develop and implement Multi-Sourcing strategy
  • Manage daily supply-chain operation
  • Set-up and implement contracts & SLA’s with (product)suppliers
  • Purchase negotiations with suppliers (in coop with Category Management)
  • Rationalize and optimize product assortment (in coop with Category Management)
  • Scanning for potential new suppliers
  • Coordinate sales forecast and align with suppliers
  • Coordinate quality improvement
  • Support own production facility (PAC) to realise efficiency improvement
  • Improve supply chain synergy between B&C’s Business Units (Retail & DIY)
  • Optimize logistics between suppliers, DC and retails channels.

  • Lower Safety & obsolete Stock levels
  • Reduction back orders and average delivery time
  • Sales Forecast Accuracy increase
  • Decrease product quality returns
  • Increase supply flexibility (preferred and 2nd/3rd supplier in place)

Who we look for?

  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Purchasing
  • Minimal 5 year experience in similar role or purchasing or logistics preferably with international scope
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Excellent analytical and communication Skills
  • Able to agree on priorities even with conflicting interests
  • A team player who is able to mobilize people of different disciplines, Business Units and external partners
  • Experience in leading and managing projects of multi-disciplinary teams
  • A pragmatic approach
  • A passion for interior and design
